Programming Languages provide the way of communication between User and Computer. A Computer program is written in programming Languages. The programming languages provide a set of rules to write Computer Program. The instructions of a program are written in specific manner and according to the rules of programming language.
Definition: "A program is a precise sequence of steps to
solve a particular problem.”
It means that when we say that we have a program, it actually means that we know about a complete set activities to be performed in a particular order. The purpose of these activities is to solve a given problem.
It is common observation that when you want to talk with your friend, you use a language. Your friend can understand you if and only if he also know that language. Mean for a successfully communication you both need to agree on a language.
Similarly , While Communicating with computer you need to use a language that is easily understood by the computer.
